Now in our fourteenth year at the University of Washington, the Goodlad Institute for Educational Renewal continues the collaborative work of promoting innovation in communities and schools and the preparation of educators and future leaders.
As we look toward the future, we are focused on continuing the Institute’s focus on educational renewal from within communities as the best hope for ethical and just futures for all young people, their families, and communities.
While we recognize schools as one place where this renewal happens, we also recognize that many young people find their most profound educational experiences in their communities.
Therefore, at the Goodlad Institute, we are committed to anti-racist practices and partnerships as we learn together with community partners.
